Using the Progress Tracker

Running an employment law case can be complicated and fast-moving. Don’t let this get the better of you - stay on top of things using the Progress Tracker.

Here, you can keep track of the communications that you have with your employer, your legal advisors, ACAS, and anyone else that you are in contact with throughout the running of your case.

There are 2 ways to add a communication to the Progress Tracker:

  1. From ‘Progress Tracker’ in the main menu, select 'Add communication'.
  2. From your ‘Activities Feed’, select the '+' button next to ‘Latest Progress Tracker Items’.

The ‘Add communication’ button is the first link on the Progress Tracker page after the navigation menu.

Method B to add a communication to the Progress Tracker

  1. In one line, describe the subject of the communication. This should be a really short summary, like ‘Discussion with ACAS conciliator’.
  2. Give a summary of the communication. This should be a more detailed description of what was discussed.

For example: ‘I phoned the ACAS conciliator to discuss response to the company’s settlement offer, after receiving an email from the company. Agreed with ACAS conciliator that they will put forward a counter-offer of £10k.’

  1. Fill in the communication date and time.
  2. If one of the files you have added relates to this communication, you can select the option to link it to your communication.
  3. Select ‘Save’.
  4. The event will appear in ‘Progress Tracker’.
